This thought process today took the CEO about 3 seconds: Sweet! I own two houses! Brief pause. Fuck, I own two houses!
I’m sure everything will be fine. At least until November, when if a certain house in far SW Portland is still unsold the CEO might die in a mysterious boating accident, the body never to be recovered.

Will the boat be crashing into a small, but nice, SW Portland house, starting a fire and burning it to the ground?

That would be one hell of a coincidence, but I could see it happening. The house will burn to the ground along with my collection of rare manuscripts and my extensive art collection. Good thing they were insured.
It might be seen as odd when the CFO immediately marries a gentleman going by the name of Chet Q. Turgidson, a gentleman bearing a striking resemblance to her deceased former husband. I guess he was just the CFO’s type.
